## Add a to-do

You can add a to-do directly from your Dashboard by clicking the `+` button in the My to-dos section.

- Assign the **owner** of the to-do.

The due date is automatically set to seven days in the future and can be updated using the calendar icon.

## Create To-do's from Emails

This feature allows you to create To-Dos in [Success.co](https://www.success.co/) by sending an email to your team’s dedicated To-Do email address.

#### Who can change this setting

- Only users with **Admin** level access and **Managers** can turn **Create To-Dos by email** on or off and regenerate the email address.
- **Team Members** can copy the email address once the setting is on.
- **Observers** have no access to this setting.

This is a Team setting, not a personal one. When an Admin or Manager turns it on, it works for everyone on that Team, so each person doesn't need to turn it on for themselves.

#### Step 1: Enable Create To-Dos by Email

1. Select **Teams** from the left-hand sidebar.
2. Select the **Team** you want to create To-Dos for.
3. Click the **Settings** tab.
4. Find **Create To-Dos by Email** and turn the toggle **ON**.

#### Step 2: Copy the Team's To-Do Email Address

Once the feature is turned on, a **unique email address for that Team** will appear underneath the setting.

Click the **Copy** icon next to the email address to copy it or click on the Regenerate icon to generate a new email address.

> **Note:** Each Team has its own email address. Make sure you use the email address for the Team where you want the To-Do to be created.

![Create to-dos by email turned on in Team Settings, showing the Team's to-do email address with copy and regenerate icons](https://res.cloudinary.com/successco/image/upload/f_auto,q_auto/docs/4)

#### Step 3: Create and Send Your Email

Open your email provider and create a new email.

1. In the **To** field, paste the Team's To-Do email address.
2. Enter the To-Do you want to create in the email.
3. Add any relevant information or details to the email.
4. Send the email.

Once the email has been processed, go back to [Success.co](https://www.success.co/) and open **To-Dos**.

Check the appropriate Team to confirm that the new To-Do has been created.

**Tip:** You can save the Team's unique To-Do email address as a contact in your email provider to make creating To-Dos by email quicker in the future.
