Quarter Dates

This guide shows you how to customize your quarter start and end dates directly from the settings, giving you flexibility to align quarters with your business calendar.

You can update the quarter dates if you have an Admin or Owner permission level.

First, click your company name or logo at the top of the sidebar then select Settings from the dropdown menu.

In Settings, select General from the sidebar, then scroll down to Important Dates.

Here you can update the start date for your company quarters, and the full range must cover one year.

Keep in mind that changing this will affect the data shown when you use quarterly filters.

Understanding EOS Quarter Dates

Quarter dates play a critical role in maintaining a strong EOS execution rhythm. In the Entrepreneurial Operating System, leadership teams operate on a ninety day cycle that aligns priorities, focus, and accountability. Setting and tracking the right quarterly dates ensures that Rocks are completed on time and that planning sessions happen consistently.

Most EOS leadership teams follow a predictable cadence:

  • Annual planning once per year

  • Quarterly planning every ninety days

  • Weekly Level 10 meetings

  • Monthly scorecard reviews

Clear quarter dates make it easier to maintain discipline and avoid drift.

Why EOS Quarterly Planning Dates Matter

In EOS software, quarterly planning is not just a calendar event. It is the anchor that connects Vision to execution.

When quarter dates are clearly defined:

  • Rocks align cleanly with the ninety day cycle

  • Leadership teams avoid confusion about start and end points

  • Quarterly conversations stay structured and focused

  • Annual goals break down into manageable commitments

Without defined quarter dates, even well run EOS teams can lose clarity around priorities.

Success.co helps leadership teams manage quarterly planning dates alongside their Scorecard, Rocks, and Vision Traction Organizer, ensuring everything stays connected.

How to Structure an EOS Quarterly Calendar

A typical EOS planning calendar includes:

Annual Planning Session

Usually held once per year to revisit long term vision, three year picture, and one year plan.

Quarterly Planning Sessions

Held every ninety days to:

  • Review previous quarter Rocks

  • Set new Rocks

  • Address major Issues

  • Adjust priorities

Weekly Level 10 Meetings

Held weekly to review Scorecard numbers, track Rocks, and solve Issues.

By mapping quarter dates clearly in advance, teams reduce scheduling friction and stay committed to their EOS cadence.

EOS Software and Quarter Management

Many teams start by tracking quarter dates in spreadsheets or shared calendars. As teams grow, this approach can become fragmented.

Dedicated EOS software keeps:

  • Quarterly start and end dates aligned with Rocks

  • Planning sessions connected to Vision

  • Historical quarter data easy to review

  • Leadership teams aligned around the same timeline

Success.co integrates quarter management directly into the broader EOS platform, so your quarterly planning, Rocks, and weekly meetings all follow the same rhythm.
